“immaculateNothing” Art Print

This piece marks an important step forward in my personal style of art. I managed to successfully combine my design skill with my illustration to create what many see as fine art. In reality, I think it’s just a really cool poster! Although, I must admit that I did put a lot of thought into the theme of this piece, with it’s juxtaposition of good and evil, and it’s not so subtle religious and feminist overtones. Pretentious enough for ya?

Three Headed Portrait

Here is a portrait I recently finished of three kiddos. The “inks” were done in Manga Studio, and the “painted brushwork” was done in Photoshop. The end result was exactly what I was going for, and the client actually cried when she received the piece (Tears of joy I assume ). Click the image to enlarge.

New Lilith Dark Comic Exceeds Expectations

Wow! When I started my latest project, Lilith Dark, I never could have expected the enormous response! In the first three weeks of the “official” launch of the webcomic, Lilith has received over 1800 page views by more than 600 unique users! Considering that the promotion thus far has been completely grass roots and word of mouth via Twitter and Facebook, I am just blown away! I was literally expecting that maybe a couple of dozen of my old chums from school would give it one quick look and never come back again. Turns out that people actually seem to dig it.

My goal with Lilith Dark is to create relatable, sympathetic characters that readers can get behind and root for. My second goal with Lilith is to continue to expand my art portfolio and take it into areas that I might not otherwise have gone. Lilith will always be a little (a lot) more mainstream than some of my darker artworks, but I hope that it continues to appeal to current fans of my work as well. Trust me, Lilith, Dewey, et all will have plenty of monsters and “beasties” to fight as the story progresses. So those of you who only want to see me draw devils and demons, you have plenty to look forward to (uh-oh spoiler alert?).

Thank you all for the constant support and kind words. Believe me it is truly appreciated. Now go read Lilith Dark!

Official Lilith Dark Promo Poster

Here it is, the official Lilith Dark Promo Poster that I’ve been working on. If you’re a regular Facebook or Twitter follower, you’ve no doubt seen this piece in various states of progress. well, I’m glad to finally be done with it so I can show it off! (finished poster after the break)

Visually, I think this poster turned out exactly how I wanted it too. I admittedly struggled with the art style I wanted for LD at first, but after some work I think this is a fair representation of the look I’ll be aspiring too in each page of the series. I certainly hope you guys like what you see. Please tweet about it or Like it on your Facebook page if you dig it.
